Golden Moose
Thank goodness warm weather is just around the corner. If our winter aches and pains disappear maybe our attendance will improve.

Our meetings & pot lucks are still on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday starting at noon, all you need to do is show up with a "goodie" to put on our buffet table. Besides eating & a short meeting by our Pres. Lee, we visit and if enough members want to play Euchre, we can do that. Don't stay away. Get Active.

Mission Four of the Moose: Create Some Interest Membership Campaign Comes to a Close

Mission Four of the Moose: Create Some Interest membership campaign has come to a close. For each application submitted from February 1 – April 30, 2012, sponsors received an entry in a drawing to win a home entertainment system, which contained a flat screen TV, a Blu-ray DVD player and a surround sound system. There were 13 weekly drawings held during the incentive period.

Each winning sponsor’s Lodge also benefited from his efforts, as the Lodge received a 60-inch flat screen TV for the Lodge home. Any applications sponsored during this incentive program also qualified for awards under the Moose: Create Some Interest membership campaign. The full list of winners is featured below.

Our new Lodge access system is in place and seems to be working fine. Your green Moose card from Moose International is all that you need to access our Lodge. Most of the lodges around the Columbus area have converted to the same system that we have. Thank you Craig Bear for installing our new lodge access equipment. The annual election of your board of officers is complete. The results are posted on the main bulletin board. All candidates will assume their positions on May 1, 2012. Each officer is your representative to relay your opinions to our board of officers at the meetings we have on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month. Our Worthington Moose Legion dinner was a great success. We had approximately 50 Legion members in attendance. Thank you Chuck and Nancy McGhee for providing a delicious dinner. We have 125 members that are eligible to join the Moose Legion. If you think that you might be interested, see me and I will explain your options. Joe (Mama) Hanson is planning another Moose Hop on June 16, 2012. Texas Holdem Poker will be the 3rd Saturday of each month at 1:00 PM. Cinco de Mayo party will be May 5, 2012.
